Myrmecophila hybrids display incredible hybrid vigor, often producing three new bulbs a year. They therefore mature quickly and quickly become specimen plants. These desirable qualities, plus their long flowering period on successively opening flower spikes, make these colorful hybrids an ideal plant for tropical and subtropical gardens. Hardy and disease free they require no additional care when established but benefit from applications of fertilizer as liquid or time release.

The large robust seedlings offered here will, with reasonable care, flower next Spring.

1931 Mrm. Motes Baby Grand (grandiflora x tibicinis) This successful hybrid tames the extravagantly long flower spike of Mrm. grandiflora down to about 5 feet and produces beautiful pink flowers of large size.

2614 Mrm. (humboldtii x Karina Motes) medium sized dark concolor pink flowers on short, 2-3 foot spikes are expected.

2615 M. (Karina Motes x albopurpurea} This back cross to M. albopurpurea should produce white flowers with a vivid purple lip on exceptionally vigorous very compact plants.

2677 Mrm. (Karina Motes x tibicinis) Large pink and yellow flowers on erect inflorescences of about four to five feet as seen in final picture.
